January 19 and our christmas tree was still up. Guests were coming over and the order was out from Mom to bring the tree to the dumping grounds.

Step 1. Untinsel.


Step 2. Bag it.


Step 3. Drag it out to the woods.


But not to just any part of the woods... we're taking a trip to the Christmas Tree Graveyard.


Eight trees we counted from Christmases past.


Oops. Step 1 should really be make sure you get all the ornaments off the tree.

ps: Ssshhh... don't tell Mom that we almost lost this little guy.


Christmas 1986? Wow, what a year.

"Less reminiscing, more throwing last-Christmas into the woods," my Dad beckoned.


I gave my dad a minute to compose himself.


But eventually had to pull him away.
