paul + erin's wedding in the house!
   december 27-28, 2002

<singing>It's the most wonderful time of the year!</singing>

The days following Christmas were the setting to the greatest wedding extravaganza these eyes have ever seen. Yup, cousin Paul got married to Erin, his bestest friend from college. The wedding was in Randolph (is that right?), with the reception and other post-wedding festivities taking place at the World Trade Center in Boston.

Note: More pics are on their way (from Katie & Jonathan's digicams) so check back in a bit.

Here, Paul and Erin in love love love.
Uncle Neal playing best man on the right.

Special shoutouts:
Jonathan, cousin Michael and I were special guest ushers.
Katie and Michelle starred as bridesmaids.
I won the Best Usher(tm) award. I'm the best.

Crotch grabbin' in the house! (Me and JJ getting all fanced up at the hotel - pre wedding style. Thank the mirror for the blurry effect.)

Bridesmaids in the house! (That's Erin's sister DJ all smiley. Michelle's in the background. No idea where Little Sister Katie is.)

Doherty's in the house! (That's Auntie Jean, Paul, Uncle Neal, Michelle - all in the house!)

Me and Big Dig in the house!

Trolly bus in the house!

Okay, I think we're done with that. Post-wedding we all took the trolly back to le reception hall. Here, Shoops, me, glass 'o champaign, cousin Michelle next to me, and cousin Michael on the right.

This story is another example of digicam laziness. I've got big gaping gaps in the evening, the one being the 2 hours between when we got back to the hotel, took 500 photos, went to private bridal-party reception, paraded into the main reception, ate dinner, consumed festive wedding drinks, and got the dance party started up... which brings us to right about here: Anne and JJ, middle school style.

And me resting on my pocket-sized grandmother's head (under the watchful eye of Jackie)...

... until Dig cut in.

Me and the bride. Ssshhh - scandalous!

Note: Lower right corner. Bling bling.

And the obligatory shot of one of the Crowley's with dice... (is the 7 a coincidence?)

... which eventually ended up in Auntie Jean's drink.

Not sure why I had the dice to begin with... it started in the hotel lobby, playing craps, back-alley style, with Jonathan and my dad in the corner while we waited for the girls to take photos.

Photos such as... Michelle and Mr. Bill (Cousin Linda's new boyfriend). Just kidding - this is from the reception. After many drinks. Pow!

Mom. Dad. Jackie.

Dens. Paul. Jonathan.

Art school, reflected in shiny Christmas tree ornaments (Jonathan has a much better version of this picture).

And my uncle. On the floor. There is no better version of this pic.

Late night. Reception ends, we all cross the catwalk back to the hotel with the intent to changing before the late-night post-reception party... but, who knew?, our hotel room key no longer worked.

We literally waited outside our room for close to half an hour - calling the front desk every 5 minutes to tell someone to, er, "get up here and open the door!" (I think there may of have been some "Do you have any idea who my father is?!" throw in. Oops.)

Anyway... waiting, waiting, Jonathan passed out in the hallway...

... me trying to bust down the door...

... until some hotel monkey finally comes up, unlocks the door, gives us new keys, and tells us to settle down for being too rowdy in the hallway. I mean, come'on! Jonathan returns the favor with toothpaste.

And where are all the pics of the post-reception party? Man, I am so digicam-lazy.
