Paris
Map of Europe

Everyone complains about Paris. They say the French hate Americans - that they won't translate, wait on you or lend a helping hand to clueless tourists like ourselves. We experiences completely the opposite - everyone was great. In fact, besides for the fact that a bird shat on me under the Eiffel Tower, Paris was the best ending we could have had for out trip.

We had pleanty of time to spare in the city - making sure to leave a whole day for us to explore Disneyland Paris. We took our time hitting the touristy sites. We stopped by the Eiffel Tower (another landmark you need to see in person to fully appreciate). You can supposedly take an elevator all the way to the top. Of course, with our luck, the top floor was closed. I was still kind of sketched out peering off the mid section though.

ARch de Triumph We did the Louvre, saw the Mona Lisa. Actually, we were so museumed out at that point that Michelle and bought our tickets, navigated our way through the maze of French signs and eventually followed the crowd to the Mona Lisa- encased behind something like 5 feet of glass. Crazy.

Paris stuff We also went to Disneyland Paris, the best part of our trip no doubt. Space Mountain rocks - perhaps the best thing I experienced in all of Europe - hey, it's got a loop!

Our four days in Paris marked the last days of our journey through Europe. From here we flew back to London for our final departure back to the States.

Next - back to London.
